Hello, I would like to know if RK has an opinion regarding the listed material and descriptions of this eBay seller. Thanks.

Well Greetings to you Dr. Avul Pakir:
No, I am not in any way connected to imokub2, other than on a hello-basis.

My reticence to engage in a discussion about a rug dealer's wares with an anonymous poster, especially one whose hidden agenda was not very hidden, should be easily understood.

Apparently you are not afraid to identify yourself, which goes a long way to imply the 'honesty' of your intentions. I do agree with your assessment of imokub2's goods, however, I have not found his age guesstimates to be as inaccurate as you feel they are.

Horses for courses and it is clear imokub2 has been successful selling his goods on Ebay and in creating and maintaining a happy customer base. Good for him is all RK.com could say, as many others have tried and failed. One example of someone who crashed and burned trying to do the same is a-bey (jimbo allen's Ebay seller's name for those of you who might not know). Good ole jimbo got entailed in a number of messy deals - mostly do to his inflated and erroneous descriptions of the age and quality of his wares.

Michael Phillips, who is imokub2, is an honest dealer who has found a niche and what could possibly be objectionable about that, truthseeker?

By the way truthseeker's fear of identifying himself, either publicly on the board or privately in emailing me, says volumes about RK.com's suspicions about his motives and intentions in posting the original message that began this thread.

So thanks for your input, Dr. Avul Pakir, and please feel free to do so in the future.

I have looked at imokub2's material and this much, I will give it to you in writing, it seems OK. Lower end of the collectors market. Colours and age-estimates on the optimistic side. Not sure why Mr Cassin is afraid to tell you his view. Perhaps he is imokub2, or connected to imokub2? Who knows. AK

Like mr (ms) truthseeker there have been a number of posters who have attempted to enroll RK.com into their misguided and phony schemes. So far none have succeeded - some have had their anonimity removed and others, like truthseeker, embarrased enough by several volleys from RK.com's keyboard have called it quits.

So see ya later, truthseeker, but next time you, or any other disingenuous fool, wants to further some ill-conceived agenda do it somewhere else. Remember in the two and a half years RK.com has been online none of you rug-dummies have succeeded and all of you have been shown to be only the miscreants y'all are. "nuff said

In our opinion your continuing on this line supports the contention, i.e. of your hidden agenda, we have expressed. However, if you are genuine you can email me privately to:
jc@rugkazbah.com
and after you identify yourself I will discuss this matter with you. I definitely prefer to do it by phone so if you are not prepared to talk with me don't bother emailing. But if you really want some expert advice then this is the only way you can get it. Well, from me that is.

Hello again, I am sorry, but you seem to have misunderstood me. I am a novice to this. I found your website by doing an internet search. I spent some time reading your posts and thought that it would be OK to ask this question. I can tell you my name, but I don't think it would mean anything to you. I was hoping for some advice and direction. It was not my intention to cause a ruckus. For me an investment of hundreds or thousands of dollars is a significant one and I was just looking for help.

Yes, truthseeker,it is a fact RK.com is no stranger to making comments about rug dealers/sellers and their wares. However, when we do this it is done to our own tune, not anyone else's.

It was clear to us from the get-go (and now after your reply even blatantly more so) you harbor some type of undeclared agenda and want us to assist you in realizing it. Sorry mate but you'd better go back to the drawing-board and sketch up another scenario.

Making such transparent statements like you "don't feel comfortable" identifying yourself or that you are "not knowledgable enough to have an opinion" strike us as total BS.

Why then should RK.com further your aims? We see absolutely no reason to and until you identify yourself - we know you are in the eastern part of the "great state of Mass." - and reveal your real reason for writing us we will maintain our stated position vis-a-vis your request.

I am sorry, but I don't feel comfortable doing that. I am not knowledgable enough to have an opinion, but I thought I had seen previous instances where you had commented about a number of different dealers and their wares. I was hoping for some guidance from you regarding the validity of these pieces and whether I would be making a mistake to purcahse something from this dealer.

Well now, mr(ms) truthseeker:

RK.com suggests you give us and our readers your opinions and then we'll consider our reply.

Although we do encourage our readership to participate on our discussion board, even when done anonymously as you have chosen, in an instance like this - your request for our opinions about a rug dealer and his "wares" - we will not reply to any such request when it has been made anonymously.

So if you care to open a discussion about this seller and his offerings by voicing your own opinions with your name attached, we will gladly further the discussion with you.
